How does Kip work?

It’s a simple process to connect your child with Kip McGrath Derby South;

Book a Free, no-obligation Educational Assessment (In Centre or Online) by clicking on the ‘Book a Free Assessment’ button

The initial Kip McGrath educational assessment is FREE, without obligation and carried out by a qualified teacher. You should  allow between 30 – 60 minutes. Our teachers will put your child at ease;  it will not feel like a ‘test’ environment. This initial assessment enables us to discover each child’s understanding of the curriculum, highlighting their current strengths and weaknesses. During the assessment, you also have the opportunity to meet us and find out for yourselves if we are the right people to help your child. We are very happy to answer any questions you might have at this stage.

We create an Individual Learning Plan

We will discuss the outcome of the assessment with you, and chat about the objectives your child needs to reach. If you do decide to enrol your son or daughter with us, we’ll create an individual learning plan uniquely for them. The aim of this is to help your child progress and reach their objectives as quickly as possible. No two students will have the same academic improvement plan.

We allocate a Weekly Session

Your child will be allocated a weekly 60-minute time slot with one of our qualified teachers at a time that suits you. This can be either In Centre or  Online, dependant on the your preference.  Kip lessons are available either after school during the week or on Saturday morning. Based on their own learning plan, students then complete, on a weekly basis, a combination of written, practical and computer tasks. We set Kip homework weekly, to purposely re-enforce their understanding of the subjects taught.
