Kip Summer School

Over the School Summer six-week holidays, children can regress in their learning by as much as 2 months. This has been exacerbated in recent times due to disrupted schooling for many children. Give your child the best possible start to the new academic year in September by enrolling them in our Kip Summer School Programme this year.

Your child also needs to take some time out with friends and family and do fun activities over the Summer holidays.  Just 1 hour of Kip tutoring per week during the summer holidays will help prevent your child from taking an academic step backwards over this period.

Sue & Dave run Kip McGrath Derby South Summer School for four weeks during August, offering students one-hour tutoring sessions, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 11am – 12pm each day. Our Summer School is open to both current students and those who are looking to take advantage of a Summer boost. At Kip McGrath Derby South your child can continue their learning through the summer break, so they’re ready to start September with renewed confidence. This can be especially true if they are about to start at a new school or are about to enter an important examination year. Kip Summer School is an opportunity to get ahead of the game via an established and trusted local education provider. Don’t miss out in 2025; places are limited.

What is the purpose of Kip Summer School?

The primary purpose of Summer School at Kip McGrath Derby South has always been to keep those young minds active over the school summer holidays, avoiding the much described “brain drain”. On average, over the six-week holidays, children can regress in their learning by approximately 8 weeks. Just 1 hour of Kip tutoring per week during the summer holidays can help prevent your child from regressing over the holidays and keep them heading in a positive direction. Our environment is based on enjoyment of learning so we work hard to make learning fun for all students.
