The Kip Free Educational Assessment

Our free, no-obligation educational assessment is a really important introduction to Kip. It is designed to identify any gaps in your child’s learning and to also identify your child’s strengths. It’s also an opportunity for you both to meet us; to see for yourself if we’re the right help for your son or daughter. You’ll get to view the purpose designed environment we have created. The free assessment can take anywhere from 40 – 60 minutes and is always conducted by a fully qualified teacher. Your child will be assessed in English or maths or both depending on your their needs. At Kip McGrath we use a combination of computer-based and written tasks to assess. Following the assessment, you can talk directly to the teacher to discuss the results and ask any questions you may have. The assessment results help to inform an individualised learning programme for your child.

You’re under no obligation to enrol your child at the end of the assessment, as we want you to be sure that you have considered this step fully. It’s an important decision as to whether tutoring is relevant for them, based on where they are in their educational journey.

We will only recommend tutoring if your child needs it.

We will encourage you to go home; speak together, and to consider whether now is the right time to enrol.

A personalised learning programme is created just for your child.

Goals are set and agreed upon by both parties.

Weekly tutoring sessions are booked in for a time that suits you best.

We have a simple enrolment process – no lock-in contracts.

You have access to your child’s teacher at the end of every session.

The video below sets out what you both should expect. We encourage you to take a look. It might lead to the best educational decision you’ve ever made for your son or daughter.
