It’s approaching the important time of the 2023/24 academic year when UK-wide school examinations take place at both Primary & Secondary levels. Sue & Dave know that students and parents are focused on this period, as it can have such an important bearing on what happens next for students, either moving to Secondary school in the case of Year 6 SATS, or moving on to further academic study (A Levels) or college/ apprenticeship options for GCSE students.
You will find here the full guide to the dates and times of these exams, for both SATS and GCSE English & Maths. The GCSE exams for 2024 are scheduled to commence around Monday 6th May 2024, and conclude on Friday 21st June 2024. For specific exam timetables, you should refer to the respective GCSE exam board:

As is always the case, Sue & Dave, in conjunction with our Kip teachers, are here to provide practical support through these periods. For current students, we’ll be focusing on Exam practice and techniques to maximise the number of marks you’re able to gain; plus ways to avoid losing marks in each paper. For Parents, if you have specific questions relating to your young person and their exams please ask us. We are always happy to chat through education topics, including choosing Secondary schools plus options available to young people post GCSE.
Please allow us to remind you that our website has lots of valuable resources on this topic, together with many other helpful features.
PLEASE BE SURE TO LET US KNOW YOUR CHILD’S RESULTS WHEN THEY ARE AVAILABLE.
If your son or daughter are sitting Year 6 SATS this time around we hope that you have already succeeded in getting them into their first choice of Secondary school. Again, if you’d like to chat about these choices/options please just ask us.
